BECOME A TEMPORARY FOSTER PARENT

The temporary program is for people who are not able to foster long-term because of work or travel but would like to help while they are in the area each year. The temporary foster program is intended for people who are open to fostering multiple times a year for 1-4 weeks at a time or for those who are open to fostering over holidays while our fosters are out of town. Temporary fosters are a huge help in situations where a rabbit needs urgent placement or needs somewhere to go while their foster is out of town. Rabbits that go to temporary fosters are always vetted, we do not send sick or brand new animals to temps.

We most commonly need temporary fosters in early January, throughout March, June, July, August, late November, and late December. However, our temp fosters help out year-round on rotation, helping animals who have nowhere else to go for 1-4 weeks at a time until they’re able to move to a regular foster!

*The temporary foster program DOES NOT provide service hours unless it is previously agreed upon. This program is intended for college students, people who travel for work, or snowbirds.*
